We are in the process of setting up a new state-of-the-art low temperature scanning tunneling microscope, in order to control the quantum states of single atoms for quantum sensing and quantum information processing. Your thesis would involve to perform first measurements on the system, to assist and control the installation, design and put together certain parts of the machine and to perform first low temperature experiments.
